Revision Tips

My Top 10 Tips for Revising

Its that time of year again when there is an over load of exams and revising, it also effects most people by taking away there social life (well it is for me anyway!). I'm sure everyone has there own tips that work for them but I always like trying new technics out so I have put together my top ten.

1. Try and revise in a bright room and if possible out side, its always great to have fresh air.

2. Plan small breaks in-between and do someone more creative.

3. Have a little healthy snack while working although chocolate is the best creation in the world sometimes it is best to part just for a bit.

4. Find fun small clips of things you are studying online and play them just to give you a refresh (BBC Bitesize are always good).

5. If you are having a day out take and you know that you won't get any revision done take some revision card with you so your friends and family can test you.

6. Sometimes stress just is to much for people an easy way of dealing with it is by doing some exercise.

7. Most people lac motivation when cominimg to do revision, by buying new stationary encourages you to get started.

8. Try and make things a big and visual as possible such as if its a timeline then put the dates on the food and actually walk through the time periods.

9. Make up silly little ways of remembering things.

10. Lastly do past papers and practise questions.

I'm sure some of these ideas you have hear before and some won't work for you but these are the ones that I like to use. I now this isn't my normal post but I thought it would be a useful one for some of you. if you have any of your own ideas feel free to put them in the comment box.

Bourjois 123Perfect CC Cream

First Impressions on the Bourjois 123Perfect CC Cream

I know I am a bit late on the bandwagon with the whole BB and CC creams but I sort of thought them as just a gimmick product. I have been seeing this product in a few youtube videos and was interested to give it a go, I needed a lighter summer foundation as my makeup tends to just slip off! I have only wore this for a day so I'm only giving my first impression not a full review.

I got mine in shade 32 light beige which is a little dark for me but as it is near summer I thought that would be fine. There are four shades to pick from my shade is the second lightest. They are priced at £9.99 for a 30ml tube. It also provides with 24h hydration and SPF15. What mainly intrigued me about this product was the correction colours, it has an orangey tone to hide tiredness, a green tone to hide redness and a white tone to hide dark spots. It also says it gives a luminous completion and smooth skin.

As for the smell it is not very significant but it just smells of your typical foundation smell, if that helps. It is a very light constancy and I would say it was light coverage so great in the summer. It does leave you skin feeling smooth and non greasy but as a have oily skin I do have to powder the skin half way through the day. I would say the colour corrector were more of a gimmick but it does even out your skin tone.

So far I am quit impressed and I cant wait to try more products like this! If you have any suggestions of good drugstore products like this then please leave your suggestions in the comment box. I cant promise when my next post will be up as exams are taking over my life at he moment but I'm sure it won't be to long!

Bag Collection

My Bag Collection

I have always loved bags as I think they are the most important part of a girls life and you can defiantly never have to many! As I am still only young and don't have much money so I only have a few bags. i hope you enjoy!

This is my latest bag which I got for my birthday from my lovely friend. The bag is from H&M, I have looked online and in my nearest stores and sadly I don't think they are selling them any more. It is black faux leather with gold hard wear with two big zips down both sides, these both open to the same pocket. Inside there is one main pocket then one small zip pocket and two phone size pockets. This is my bag at the moment and I love it, its the perfect size to fit the essentials in but also leaving enough room for any of those small cheeky purchase.

This next bag is from Primark, I got it in there christmas sale so again I don't think you will be able to find it any more. This bag is a black and white satchel/messenger style, this also has gold hard wear and a ted baker style bow on the front (everyone like a bit of ted baker real or fake). This bag is great as it is a good size with a few small pockets but also it goes with everything weather you are dressing up or its just a quite stop at Sainsburys.

This bag is also a satchel/messenger style, again I bought this quite a few years ago (it is looking quite worn out) from New Look so they don't stock it any more but there are many bags like this around at the moment. This bag is a bit smaller then the other two bags but is till a good size, just like the others it has gold hard wear and inside there is a few smaller pockets. I don't use this bag anymore as it is looking a bit worse for wear but I thought I would still include it as I loved it so much.

This bag is by far my favourite bags being from Accessorizes  as I love the cut out detail on the front. It is about the same size as my H&M bag but is a messenger bag style with the flap at the front, again it has gold hard wear this also comes with a long strap but I lost mine not that I was ever going to use it. love this bags in the spring and summer so I cant wait to start using it ageing as finally the weather is finely wring up in england!

Finally this is my first ever proper handbag which is also from Accessorize. This is quite different to all my other bags as this is mainly made from fabric and it has a tropical print and it has no structure to it. Just like all my other bags it has gold hard wear and a few small pockets inside. I don't use this bag any more as its not the style that I go for but I am keeping it just incase I want to use it again.

Well I never new I liked gold hard wear so much! I'm sorry I couldn't leave a link to any of the bags but they wear all bought a long time a go. I hope you liked the photos as they should be better quality then photos from my other post, I got a camera for my birthday but I'm still getting used to it so bear with me on that on. hope you are having a nice day!

First Impressions

My first impressions on the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24h

Most of you don't no but it is my birthday today and one of the presents I got from my sister what the Maybelline gel eyeliner in back. I had never tried a gel liner before so I thought it was about time.

This is what it looks like when you take it out of the box you get the pot with the eyeliner in and then a small travel size brush.

From the box it claims to have a gel formula which it does. it is meant to last for 24hours with no transfer with strong pigmentation with easy application.

When first applying I found it went on smoothly and it was very pigmented, I used the brush that came with it and surprisingly it made putting on eyeliner every easy as in the past I have always struggled with it.

After 4 hours
So from looking at the mirror it looks basically the same ashen I first put it on so it has dried to a mat black. It has not transferred or smudged which is amazing. So far I am very impressed!

After another 4 hours
After 8 hours from when I first put the eyeliner on I can see for the mirror that the colour has faded a bit but there is still smudging or transferring. Well I am still very impressed!

lastly another 4 hours
So finally after 12 hours of wearing the eye liner I can see that this time it looks a little more faded then last time but also it has transferred a little on the crease of my eyelid considering my eyelids are quite oily and most eyeliners smudge with in an hour this has done surprisingly well. Ohh and one other thing to add when taking it of I suggest an eye makeup remover as I think with a face wipe it could be quite tricky.

Just a little picture of me on my birthday wearing the eyeliner!

Over all for a drugstore gel eyeliner that is only £7.99 I think it is great! I would defiantly recommend this for first time buyers of makeup or gel eyeliner users. Hope you like this type of blog and please comment down below if you have any ideas about what I could write in the future.

Battle of the Micellar Waters

Loreal Micellar water or Garnier Micellar water

When it comes to taking of my makeup I used to just use makeup wipes, but when I decovered micellar water my life changed!

Loreal skin perfection 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution

This retails at around £4.99 in a 200ml bottle. It claims to dissolve makeup, unclog pores and remove impurities and lastly to tone and sooth skin. I would say for my skin it only really removed the makeup and soothes skin, I didn't see and noticeable difference in my pores. As for the smell it has quite a strange smell but is not of putting. When you first put apply it to your face it is a little sticky but that soon fades away, after woulds it makes the face feel smooth and the smell has gone. Over all it works very well at getting all traces of makeup, for taking of eye makeup it dose work but I prefer to use a eye makeup remover.

Garnier micellar cleansing water

This one also retails at £4.99, but is bottle contains 400ml which they say is 200 uses. This one claims to remove makeup, cleanses and soothes, it also says it is stables for sensitive skin. I would say that it does every thing that it says it will which is very pleasing. Just like the other one it starts off it feels slightly sticky on then the skin but within a few seconds it is gone and you are left with makeup free smooth skin! As for the smell I would say it basically dosent  have one which is good. Just like the other one it is excellent at taking of your face makeup but it is not as good with eye makeup so again I would still use a separate makeup remover for the eyes. I would recommend this and I think it should be a staple in someones skincare routine.

As you may be able to tell I would recommend the Garnier micellar cleansing water purely because you get more for your money and it docent have a strong smell. Sorry that you have been waiting for this so long but is finally here! I hope you found this useful.

Thanks Apple

Quick Update

This is just a short update kinda thing I have a post coming up soon so don't worry.

About two days a go, my mac book air laptop keyboard broke due to water damage, we took it to the apple store and first of all the service was very good, as we didn't no you had to book an appointment they still saw use within 20 minuets. Then they said that they had to change one part of the keyboard which would be £150, if that didn't work then they would call us and we would have to then change another part and that would be around £350! They said it would be around 3 to 5 days. That evening around 8 o'clock we had an email from apple telling use that my laptop had been fixed and was ready to pick up! So we picked it up the next day and it was back to its amazing self.

I basically wanted to recommend the apple service and say thank you. I am not being sponsored to say this I am generally pleased with the survive. There will be a normal blog coming soon so stay tuned!
