Nail Polish Review

Sephora FormularX Nail Polish Review

As some of you may know I am a nail junky, I always want to try the latest products. As soon as I found out that Sephora had a new nail polish line I wanted to get my hands on one, but as I live in England it not that easy. when I found out my parents were join to New York, I was able to get one and test it out!

Equinox

I was very impressed with this polish, I would say for this colour you defiantly need two coats. It lasts a lot longer when you wear a top coat. With out a top coat it lasted about 4 days but with a top coat it lasts about 6 days. The glitter is very fine so it create an iridescent look but also its not a pain to take off. The packaging is very sleek and the brush is very easy to use.

Bourjois 123Perfect CC Cream

First Impressions on the Bourjois 123Perfect CC Cream

I know I am a bit late on the bandwagon with the whole BB and CC creams but I sort of thought them as just a gimmick product. I have been seeing this product in a few youtube videos and was interested to give it a go, I needed a lighter summer foundation as my makeup tends to just slip off! I have only wore this for a day so I'm only giving my first impression not a full review.

I got mine in shade 32 light beige which is a little dark for me but as it is near summer I thought that would be fine. There are four shades to pick from my shade is the second lightest. They are priced at £9.99 for a 30ml tube. It also provides with 24h hydration and SPF15. What mainly intrigued me about this product was the correction colours, it has an orangey tone to hide tiredness, a green tone to hide redness and a white tone to hide dark spots. It also says it gives a luminous completion and smooth skin.

As for the smell it is not very significant but it just smells of your typical foundation smell, if that helps. It is a very light constancy and I would say it was light coverage so great in the summer. It does leave you skin feeling smooth and non greasy but as a have oily skin I do have to powder the skin half way through the day. I would say the colour corrector were more of a gimmick but it does even out your skin tone.

So far I am quit impressed and I cant wait to try more products like this! If you have any suggestions of good drugstore products like this then please leave your suggestions in the comment box. I cant promise when my next post will be up as exams are taking over my life at he moment but I'm sure it won't be to long!

First Impressions

My first impressions on the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24h

Most of you don't no but it is my birthday today and one of the presents I got from my sister what the Maybelline gel eyeliner in back. I had never tried a gel liner before so I thought it was about time.

This is what it looks like when you take it out of the box you get the pot with the eyeliner in and then a small travel size brush.

From the box it claims to have a gel formula which it does. it is meant to last for 24hours with no transfer with strong pigmentation with easy application.

When first applying I found it went on smoothly and it was very pigmented, I used the brush that came with it and surprisingly it made putting on eyeliner every easy as in the past I have always struggled with it.

After 4 hours
So from looking at the mirror it looks basically the same ashen I first put it on so it has dried to a mat black. It has not transferred or smudged which is amazing. So far I am very impressed!

After another 4 hours
After 8 hours from when I first put the eyeliner on I can see for the mirror that the colour has faded a bit but there is still smudging or transferring. Well I am still very impressed!

lastly another 4 hours
So finally after 12 hours of wearing the eye liner I can see that this time it looks a little more faded then last time but also it has transferred a little on the crease of my eyelid considering my eyelids are quite oily and most eyeliners smudge with in an hour this has done surprisingly well. Ohh and one other thing to add when taking it of I suggest an eye makeup remover as I think with a face wipe it could be quite tricky.

Just a little picture of me on my birthday wearing the eyeliner!

Over all for a drugstore gel eyeliner that is only £7.99 I think it is great! I would defiantly recommend this for first time buyers of makeup or gel eyeliner users. Hope you like this type of blog and please comment down below if you have any ideas about what I could write in the future.

Battle of the Micellar Waters

Loreal Micellar water or Garnier Micellar water

When it comes to taking of my makeup I used to just use makeup wipes, but when I decovered micellar water my life changed!

Loreal skin perfection 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution

This retails at around £4.99 in a 200ml bottle. It claims to dissolve makeup, unclog pores and remove impurities and lastly to tone and sooth skin. I would say for my skin it only really removed the makeup and soothes skin, I didn't see and noticeable difference in my pores. As for the smell it has quite a strange smell but is not of putting. When you first put apply it to your face it is a little sticky but that soon fades away, after woulds it makes the face feel smooth and the smell has gone. Over all it works very well at getting all traces of makeup, for taking of eye makeup it dose work but I prefer to use a eye makeup remover.

Garnier micellar cleansing water

This one also retails at £4.99, but is bottle contains 400ml which they say is 200 uses. This one claims to remove makeup, cleanses and soothes, it also says it is stables for sensitive skin. I would say that it does every thing that it says it will which is very pleasing. Just like the other one it starts off it feels slightly sticky on then the skin but within a few seconds it is gone and you are left with makeup free smooth skin! As for the smell I would say it basically dosent  have one which is good. Just like the other one it is excellent at taking of your face makeup but it is not as good with eye makeup so again I would still use a separate makeup remover for the eyes. I would recommend this and I think it should be a staple in someones skincare routine.

As you may be able to tell I would recommend the Garnier micellar cleansing water purely because you get more for your money and it docent have a strong smell. Sorry that you have been waiting for this so long but is finally here! I hope you found this useful.

NYX Nude on Nude palette

Hey everyone I'm back for my second post. This one is going to be a review on the NYX Nude on Nude palette.
This is again one of my every day items, it is one of the more expensive things I own but I think it is worth it. The prise is around £25 but I got mine for £12 as I found it in a shop called TKmaxx(this is a discount store).

The pigmentation is good on the eye shadows but when it comes to the lip colours the reds are  the only pigmented ones (I don't use the lip palette as I prefer lipstick) there is many looks you can do with this palette so I highly recommend this.

thanks for reading look out for more posts to come.
Remember this is my view everyone is different.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr

Hello everyone this is my first post so I am still getting the hang of every thing at the moment but hope you like it.
I am going to be reviewing the Maybelline colour tattoos.

On and on Bronze 35
Pink Gold 65

Permanent Taupe 40
These are the three colours that I have I love them to bits and wear them on a daily basis. They are very pigmented but wearable. The texture is creamy and easy to blend to create that smoky look. There are plenty more colours to choose from and at a price of £4.99 they are very affordable, this is a staple in my makeup collection and will be repurchasing then again. They can crease so I don't think they are 24hour, who would need that anyway.

At the top is  Permanent Taupe
then Pink Gold
lastly is On and on Bronze.

Thank you for reading my very first post it was lost of fun and look out for more in the future. Remember this is my view everyone is different.

bye bye xx
